Today I rode to my "congregational" service, then to the grocery store, then home. Temperature was 30 degrees F at 8:30 am, winds 3 mph, a very pleasant and peaceful morning (less traffic on Sunday morning). And notice it was another sunny day. We've had a lot of sunshine this winter. If you can manage to get out in it, you can avoid the winter blues (and take vitamin D too).
On the way home, I noticed yesterday's gullies were frozen. By this time (noon), it was 35 F, winds 5 mph, so still very light. Good thing because I had some heavy groceries.
Well I'm off to Portugal tomorrow so no biking for a week. a sad thought.
From Dec. 22, 2008 to mar. 14, 2010 I posted about my daily commute in Madison, Wisconsin. It was fun to log pictures of the bike path and my brief thoughts and weather conditions throughout the year. Then I got interested in other things and stopped blogging for over a year. I still commute daily, even longer now (7 miles one way) and absolutely love it.
Now I'm blogging my biking experiences while traveling. I love to take my road bike and mountain bike along with me on road trips in the car. It's a great way to see the country and meet locals. It makes business and family trips a lot more fun, in addition to vacations.
