Yea, I'm back! I was in Portugal last week. The weather was nice, sunny and in the 50s (F) but it was cold at night, and because I didn't really dress for it, I was colder there than I was on my bike today. I was in Porto which is beautiful. Today the temperature was 13 F and winds calm at 7:45 am, and clear blue skies. It was the usual excellent ride in excellent weather. I went to yoga (later than my exercise class) and the sun was high by then. Last week's thaw got rid of most of the snow but a few inches fell on the weekend giving it a bit of a white covering. Here's the start of the bike path:
Starkweather creek (on the way home) is thawed now:
From Dec. 22, 2008 to mar. 14, 2010 I posted about my daily commute in Madison, Wisconsin. It was fun to log pictures of the bike path and my brief thoughts and weather conditions throughout the year. Then I got interested in other things and stopped blogging for over a year. I still commute daily, even longer now (7 miles one way) and absolutely love it.
Now I'm blogging my biking experiences while traveling. I love to take my road bike and mountain bike along with me on road trips in the car. It's a great way to see the country and meet locals. It makes business and family trips a lot more fun, in addition to vacations.
